*~*~*~*Always from a far?*~*~*~*
As you shoveled the snow from your walk way you noticed a soldiers up on the hill top watching you. He have eerie amythist eyes, yet they drew you in they were sad and longing eyes. When he realized you had spotted him he turned away and disappeared into the forest. You found you had a hand out stretched as if you were trying to reach him.
You sighed in the cold, and finished the job before going inside.

That night you felt as if the eerie eyed soldier was watching you as you sat in the warmth of your living room reading. Your skin tingled as if he was grazing his hand on it. Your twin sister came into the room and said, "________ you feel alright? You look like you have a fever." Handing you a cup of tea.
You nodded your head and sighed, "I feel fine."
You never felt the soldier look away from you, he never looked at your sister.
You feel asleep in that chair, with a blanket around you the soldier's gazed warmed at the site.

The next day in town your sister and you split the grocery list, and split up. As you were looking for a nice cabbage you felt the tender stare from your soldier on you once more. You turned around, but you did not see him. Your heart sank, was

it just your imagination trying to tell you you were lonely?
No you know that your lonely, you loved your sister, but she was boring to talk to and not that bright. You closed your eyes and counted to seven to clear your mind.  You turned around and bought the ripe cabbage you had found. You wandered the market place with an expression so sad it ate at strangers. They asked if you were alright, and if you need help, you being a proud polite person, thanked them, but turned them down.
You found your sister cornered by one of the many soldiers in town trying to get a kiss. You turn picked up a large branch and you hit the soldier with it, yelling at him.
A general saw you hit his soldier, and rushed in and yelled, "What do you think your doing to him!"
You turned sharply on your heel and growled, "Are you his commanding officer?"
He nodded his head unable to foretell the storm to come. You pointed the branch at his big nose and said, "You sir need to keep your men on a better leash because it is inexcusable that they go around preying on the innocent girls in town! You ought to be ashamed that your men commit such acts under your command it drags your and your country's name through the mud. Take this man from my site before I teach him a lesson!" Grabbing the soldier's collar and shoving him to his commanding officer. He blinked, then took his soldier away, the women in the crowd cheered.
You led your sister away, and asked her if she was alright. She had tears running down her face, but she was smiling. She nodded her head and said, "yes thanks to my big sister."
She held your hand and let you lead her home.
You still had the branch in hand which got you a lot of bizarre looks, but you had to use it a few more times when soldiers were misbehaving elsewhere in town. You kept the branch with you, even after you reached your house a mile outside of town. Because you knew that you would hear from the soldiers again.
